In the fall of 2023, amidst the whirlwind of global and local events, and the stirrings within my own soul, I found myself awakening in a liminal space. It was there that visions of grief began to unfold before me, vivid and raw. Images of a man standing on a cliff, shouting into the void; a person huddled in a cave, embraced by shadows; and friends walking together, supporting one another through their collective sorrow. These visions marked the genesis of my first book, "Walking with Grief," and the birth of the Ink and Insight Collective.

As I delved deeper into this creative journey, a hunger for more visuals grew within me. I yearned to create resources that not only depicted grief but also provided a gateway for people to access their physical bodies, understand their sensations and emotions, and articulate what they were feeling. This desire led to the creation of the Somatic Solutions and Spaces series, with "Walking with Grief" being the inaugural title. The series has since expanded, with "Frightened: Walking with Fear" as one of the latest additions to be released soon (March 2024). Specific books and workbooks geared to children 8-12, “Growing up Grounded” or another geared to educators, “The Educator's Ultimate Guide to Somatic Solutions for the Classroom from Preschool to College, Plus Self-Care Strategies for Teachers and Parents.”

The Ink and Insight Collective is more than just a collection of books; it is a sanctuary for the soul. Each resource is crafted with the intention of providing tools for self-regulation, understanding of sensation and emotion, and insights into how the physical body, nervous system, heart, mind, and spirit process experiences. It is my deepest hope that these spaces offer comfort, guidance, and a path toward healing and transformation.

The essence of the collective is rooted in the belief that bringing these experiences into the visible realm is vital for personal growth and healing. It is a testament to the power of visibility in fostering understanding, empathy, and connection. Through the pages of our books and the spaces we create, we hold out a beacon of light for those navigating the complexities of their inner worlds.
