What is Somatic Support?
The word somatic means relating to the body.
Somatic support is using the body, movement and breath to help cultivate opportunities for calm and self-regulation of emotion and sensation. Somatic therapy teaches techniques and practices that promote a sense of overall wellbeing as one inhabits their lives and bodies.
In the following blog, I write about what this past year of walking through life and living day to day with a son with a chronic illness has been like for me and what inspired the steps to come forward and offer support to other families traveling similar journeys.
