The Wrestling invites us to step into the tension of faith, holding both struggle and transformation, not as obstacles to be overcome, but as sacred spaces where we are changed.
Week Three: The Wrestling
Week Three: The Wrestling – What to Expect
This week, we step into the sacred tension of wrestling—the place where faith is not passive but engaged, where struggle is not failure but transformation. Lent leads us to the river’s edge, to the place where wandering turns into grappling with what we carry. Like Jacob, like Jesus, we face what lingers in the shadows—the questions, the resistance, the ache of longing, the surrender that does not come easily.
Throughout the week, we will:
Stay in the tension instead of rushing to resolve it.
Listen to our bodies and where struggle is held physically.
Name what we truly long for, even when it feels too vulnerable.
Hold both fear and trust without forcing one to disappear.
Reach the breaking point where surrender becomes transformation.
Pause in stillness to let the wrestling do its work.
Find resilience in the struggle, knowing we are not alone.
Through breath, movement, prayer, and reflection, we will lean into the long, slow work of becoming. This is not about fixing, escaping, or forcing clarity. It is about staying present, about allowing what is unresolved to be met with honesty and grace. The night is long. The river waits.
But even here, even now—we are being formed.
