Welcome to Growing Up Grounded: An Emotional Wellbeing Class for Kids and Parents
Hello and welcome to the Growing Up Grounded class! I'm thrilled to embark on this journey with you and your child. This class is designed to help children aged 8-12 develop essential skills for emotional health, body awareness, and self-regulation. Through fun activities, creative journaling, and mindfulness practices, your child will learn how to navigate their inner world and manage stress effectively.
To kick off this course, we've prepared three introductory videos to guide you through the process:
Introductory Video for Parents (Part 1): In this video, I provide an overview of the Growing Up Grounded project and discuss the importance of emotional health and body awareness. I'll share my personal journey and explain the goals of the class, ensuring you understand the value and structure of the program.
Introductory Video for Parents (Part 2): This video dives into Chapter 11 of the book, which is specifically designed for parents. I'll explain the 25 activities and 10 thoughtful questions included in this chapter, offering practical tips on how to support your child's emotional growth. These tools will help you create a nurturing environment where your child can explore their emotions and bodily sensations.
