About me…
Hello and welcome to Ink and Insight! I’m Elle.
I am, first and foremost, a mom – a role that has profoundly shaped my being and inspired my journey. My life has been a colorful mosaic, influenced by the laughter and challenges of raising six incredible kids, the melodies of music, the places I've called home, the people who've crossed my path, and the pets who've shared our lives.
My venture into creative expression was born from a need to navigate through life's tougher moments. Grief, sorrow, and the reality of chronic illness in one of my children led me to a crossroads. I felt an overwhelming need to release the emotions that were bottling up inside me. That's when I created 'Walking with Grief' – a project that became my sanctuary and channel for expression.
As I delved into this artistic journey, a transformation began. In the midst of sorrow, I found joy; from the depths of hardship, creativity blossomed. Art became my voice during times when words failed. I experienced firsthand how music could heal (keep an eye out for the story of my son and his cello), how colors could brighten the darkest of days, and how songs of sorrow could give rise to unexpected joy.
My life's path has shown me the incredible power of art in its many forms. From the vibrant hues of a painting to the soul-stirring notes of music, each form of expression has its unique way of touching lives and mending hearts.
This is who I am, and this is the essence of Ink and Insight. Our collective is a testament to the strength and beauty that can emerge from life's most challenging moments. It's a place with a big heart, dedicated to sharing, healing, and growing through creative expression.
