Meditations for Pregnancy Loss: I am so sorry for your loss

I hope this letter finds its way to you during a moment when you can take a breath and allow yourself the grace to feel, to grieve, and to heal. I am reaching out to you not as someone who claims to understand the intricacies of your pain, but as a fellow traveler on a road marked by loss, sorrow, and the challenging path toward healing.

I want you to know that my intention is not to presume that our journeys are identical; each heartache is as unique as the precious life that once danced within us. Instead, my desire is to share a piece of my heart, forged in the crucible of a similar experience, in the hope that it may offer you some solace, understanding, and a sense of companionship.

The journey of miscarriage is one that thrusts us into an unexpected wilderness of emotions. It's a terrain where sorrow and confusion intermingle, and the echoes of dreams once whispered to our hearts reverberate in the silence of loss. In those moments, it's okay to feel the full spectrum of emotions, whether it be anger, sadness, confusion, or even moments of unexpected relief.

It's important to acknowledge that healing is not linear; it's a winding path that may take unexpected turns. There is no right or wrong way to navigate through this, and it's okay if some days feel heavier than others. It's okay to seek support and lean on those who love you.

Remember, you are not alone.

In sharing my experience, I want you to know that there is strength in vulnerability. It's okay to embrace the pain, to honor the memory of the life that was, and to acknowledge the ache in your heart. Through our pain, we find connection — a shared understanding that transcends words and bridges the gaps between us.

If you ever feel the need to talk, to share your story, or to simply sit in silence with someone who understands the weight of your heart, I am here for you. Whether through words, a warm embrace, or a shared tear, know that you are supported and held in the gentle embrace of empathy.

May you find moments of peace amid the storm, and may the gentle whispers of hope guide you toward a brighter dawn. You are resilient, you are cherished, and your journey is valid.

Inspired by Lewis Carole’s poem, The Jabberwocky, and one word, MANGALISO, I set out to focus on how others can daily experience the amazement (Mangaliso is Zulu for “YOU ARE AN AMAZEMENT”) of their own being.

There are frightful realities that exist, learning how to overcome them and thrive is what I am about in life and at work. Whether the “beast” is imposter syndrome, the inner critic, stress, anxiety, burn-out or fatigue there are ways to vanquish the obstacles that stand in the way.

Hi, my name is Elle Miller, and I am a passionate trauma-informed SOMATIC therapist (C-IAYT, 500 hr Therapeutic Yoga Specialist, 200 hr Experienced Yoga Instructor) who truly believes in the healing power of integrative mind-body-spirit modalities.

The greatest gift somatic therapy has given me is deeper breaths and a calmer mind, more connection to myself as I truly am as well as the ability to connect to others more authentically.

I’ve owned local businesses in Blacksburg, VA and Charlotte, NC for many years and have been involved in online leadership since 2004. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help me help you, whether that’s in-person or online.
